By design, the trustless service has no risks on CrowdNode's end once the trustless masternode has launched. (Note that during the pledging & signing process, the 1000 DASH are kept by CrowdNode and thus has the same risk profile as our trusted service.)
The fact that there is no risk associated with CrowdNode for the trustless nodes after launch does not mean that there is no risk, however.
The pre-signed transactions to take down a trustless masternode always pay deposits back to the participants original address (and that cannot be changed), so if you lose control of (the private key for) that address, your DASH deposit will be forever lost.

So for trustless masternodes it is essential, to practice safe procedures for storing your private keys.
